About Us

Hasan Kalyoncu University is a foundation university located in Gaziantep and its establishment studies started in 1996. Its establishment by the Gaziantep Education and Service Foundation in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 30 July 2008 was realized with the law on making changes in the Law on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions No. 5799 and 5796. The university was opened in the 2009-2010 academic year and was named Gazikent University until April 2012. After this date, it was named Hasan Kalyoncu University.

The Department of Architecture, which was established under the name of Faculty of Architecture and Engineering in the 2009-2010 academic year, started to admit students for the first time in this period.

In the 2012-2013 academic year, the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering was separated from each other and the Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture was established, and its education continued with the Department of Architecture and then the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design.

To be a leading, respected and preferred Faculty of Fine Arts and Architecture, which has proven itself with interdisciplinary education and training, research and application activities in the fields of architecture, planning, design and art, contributes to the meeting and development of the needs of the city and its region, is sensitive to social responsibilities, is recognized in international platforms.

Our Mission

Competitive at national and international level, having professional knowledge and equipment, following current developments, able to identify problems with analytical thinking ability and produce creative solutions to these problems, comprehend the importance and necessity of interdisciplinary work, have ethical values, environmentally sensitive, enterprising, innovative and contemporary training of scientists and professionals.
